Family Council
I have really been thinking a lot about how to raise our family so that we are closer and so that our children feel like they can confide in each other and us as parents. With this thinking has come to mind the need to have a family council night. We have done calendaring and scheduling but it wasn’t going quite where I wanted to. BU t how do you get to where you want to go if you don’t know how to get there! So I went searching. I didn’t have to search very far or long before I came upon this pin that had great suggestions. It is a printable with a personal interview sheet as well. Thank you Miss Poppins for this post it has really given me the start that I needed.
I real love the steps mentioned in this printable, but as we were having our first family council using this guide, I kept feeling like I was grabbing all kinds of papers to jot things down on. So I decided to use the same information, but typed it in a way that it would be easy to write down what you’re talking about in each step. I hope that makes sense.
Here is the link to the printable.
For our family council I found it helpful to have on hand a calendar(I use a little pocket calendar from my husbands work), your families goals, and also a pen.
I hope this helps you feel like you have more of a foundation for your family council nights!!
Just getting started
I apologize for the blog being rough. I have just trashed a few old blogs, one by mistake and the other on purpose. I am trying to just compile all of my activities and ideas and everything pretty much that isn’t strictly personal onto this blog. I admit I will blog about my son I am sure, but that is what my personal blog is for. I love trying to be crafty, I have a few good ideas everynow and then , but mostly I see the creativity of others and it sparks an idea for me. I love re-doing or making things my own. Hopefully you can stick with me through this learning process and we can have some good things ocme of it!!
